Juan Cacicedo Piedrahita is General Vice-Secretary of the Círculo de Empresarios. He has a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. His professional career has been closely linked to economic information, occupying managerial positions in different media. He was Deputy Director and Acting Director of the daily La Gaceta de los Negocios, Deputy Director of Dinero magazine, Deputy Director of the economic weekly El Nuevo Lunes and Head of Economy of Tiempo magazine.
Before joining the Circle in 1997, he held the general management of the communication consultancy Eurocofin, specialized in business and financial issues. At present he is part of the Madrid Press Association, the Association of European Journalists, the Association of Directors of Communication Dircom, the Communication Club and the International Press Club, of whose Board of Directors he is a member. He has also been Vice President of the Association of Economic Information Journalists (APIE).
